CM Dhami Inaugurates BIS Standard Club Carnival

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Standard Club Carnival on Tuesday. He inspected various stalls and administered an oath to citizens to prioritize purchasing ISI-marked products.

The Chief Minister stated that BIS is promoting quality and standardization, strengthening Indian products in global competition. He emphasized that the ISI mark is a symbol of consumer trust, and standardization is not just a technical process but the foundation of the nation`s development and self-reliance.

BIS is now expanding its standards to agriculture, road transport, healthcare, and disaster management. The Chief Minister highlighted that the Uttarakhand government is promoting the `House of Himalayas` brand to enhance the quality of local products, giving handicrafts, organic agriculture, and medicinal herbs global recognition.

The Chief Minister praised BIS’s ‘One Nation, One Standard’ initiative, stating that by adopting the highest quality, India will one day set global standards.
