Uttarakhand Mining Department Sets Record with ₹1217 Crore Revenue
Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Mining Department recorded its highest-ever revenue of ₹1217 crore in FY 2025–26, exceeding the target of ₹950 crore. The collection includes ₹1130 crore for the state treasury, ₹80 crore for the District Mineral Foundation (DMF), and ₹7 crore from SMET.
This marks a strong rise from ₹1041 crore in 2024–25 and just ₹110 crore in 2012–13, reflecting steady growth in the sector.
Under Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, reforms in mining policies, stricter checks on illegal activities, and transparent lease allocation significantly boosted revenue.
The introduction of digital systems like MDTSS, e-Ravanna, and advanced e-check gates further strengthened monitoring and efficiency. These initiatives earned national recognition, including the SKOCH Award (Gold), while the Ministry of Mines also rewarded the state with ₹200 crore in incentives for its performance.
