In a significant show of solidarity and celebration, Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande embarked on a visit to the forward areas in the Harsil Sector of the Garhwal Himalayas, located in Uttarkashi district. According to an official army statement, General Pande marked the festive occasion of Diwali by joining the troops stationed in the sector for celebrations.

During his visit, the Army Chief received comprehensive briefings from ground commanders regarding the ongoing capability and infrastructure development in the region. Engaging with the personnel of the Indian Army, Border Roads Organization (BRO), and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), General Pande commended their unwavering morale, dedication, and resilience in the face of operational challenges posed by the demanding terrain and weather conditions.

The Additional Directorate of Public Information at IHQ-New Delhi shared the notable event on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), quoting the COAS`s praise for the forces. The statement highlighted General Pande`s acknowledgment of the troops` commendable spirit in overcoming adversities.
