The SSB bus overturned on the road due to brake failure in which 19 soldiers were injured. On receiving the information, police reached the spot and took the injured jawans to the hospital.

According to the information, the brakes of the bus taking soldiers from Champawat to Pithoragarh for training failed near a hotel in the Ghat area. During this time, driver Vikas showed wisdom and hit the vehicle with a hill, due to which the vehicle overturned on the road.

All the SSB personnel in the vehicle came out after a lot of effort. After receiving the information, Barakot outpost police and Lohaghat 112 team reached the spot and inquired about the condition of 19 SSB jawans.

According to eyewitnesses, if the driver had not shown caution, the vehicle would have fallen into a deep gorge and a major accident would have occurred. He said that 19 soldiers suffered minor injuries in the accident. The upturned vehicle has been restored upright with the help of JCB.
